Music for the World, our non-profit organization, has been invited exclusively by Andy Frain Services out of the Chicago area (Aurora, IL) to help provide event staff for the U.S.Golf Open next summer-2012. For each hour that the volunteers work the money will be donated to Music for the World to help the poor throughout the world in the areas where we are serving. One of the projects that we hope to fund through this opportunity is to build an orphan center for 150 aids orphans in Kenya and their dwarf handicapped teacher, Sophie.

Some of the areas to be staffed are as follows:

  • Administration on course and recruiting office

  • Customer Service

  • Disallowed Items Inventory (similar to a coat check)

  • Cart drivers

  • Controlling access to V.I.P. Players, Media areas, etc.

Here are the requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.

  • Must be able to work an 8 hour shift at least 3 days out of the 7 days. We would like for people to work the entire event if possible!

  • Must provide own transportation to Employee Parking or take public transportation.

  • Must be prompt for serving times.

  • Both Non-Licensed Event Staff (220 people) and Licensed Security Officers-CA compliant (450 people) are needed. We will hold an 8 hour training session one day in May to have people become Licensed Security Guards -CA compliant. There is a minimal fee involved for this however which we will give more info about at a later time. Please let us know if you are interested in this as well.
3 shifts are available:

  • 1st 5am-1pm

  • 2nd 1pm-9pm

  • 3rd 9pm-5am (Overnight guards only)
You may stay after your shift or come in before your shift and watch the U.S. Open there on the grounds! It will be an amazing time to serve some of the poorest of the poor in our world through Music for the World and also be able to attend a world class golfing event for free at the same time.
